Currently there are nine sub-projects in Hadop
  • Common - common code
  • Avro - serialization and RPC
  • MapReduce - computation
  • HDFS - storage
  • Pig - data flow language
  • Hive - data warehousing and query language
  • HBase - column-oriented database
  • ZooKeeper - coordination service
  • Chukwa - data collection and analysis
